Outline of Course
The Course consists of three componemts:
Pre-course study of the Limbic Reflexology Student Textbook.
Two practical training days.
Two submitted case studies, submitted within a set timeframe.
To attract the final Limbic Reflexology Certificate, students are required to complete all three components.
Students should purchase the Limbic Reflexology Student Textbook, available from Amazon (see links on sidebar). This covers the theoretical learning which underpins Limbic Reflexology.
Home study of the Textbook should begin at least ten weeks before the first practical training day.
The brain and the brain processes will be unfamiliar to most students. Limbic Reflexology Student Textbook. allows students to familiarise themselves with the names and processes involved. It includes all the background knowledge required to understand the rationale for working the reflex areas.
With that background knowledge, the practical learning will be more meaningful.
The Textbook also includes a ‘test your understanding’ quiz, which students should complete before attending the practical training.
Practical Training Days
The practical training days will involve locating all the limbic reflex areas and learning the specific working techniques and routines involved.
We also learn how to research a given condition, which will underpin the rationale for our treatment plan, and we will identify relevant outcome measures to evaluate our treatments.
As we learn the reflex areas, we will weave the theoretical knowledge from the Student Textbook into the practical routines. This will help us to come to an educated interpretation of the probable neural process involved.
This interpretation, combined with the outcome measures, will help to influence our ongoing treatment plan.
Thus, we will be able to demonstrate that our treatment is informed, focused, and evidence based - all criteria which will lend credibility to our practice.
Two submitted case studies will be required following the Practical Training Days. You will be given a detailed guide in completing your case studies. This will include the format and the type and level of detail expected.
the two Case Studies should all be submitted within six months following the Practical Training Days.

Anatomy & Physiology
The physiology of the nervous system and the limbic brain will be new for most of the participants but I will cover only what needs to be covered at a level that is accessible. This is reflexology training, not neuroscience training.
All the theoretical knowledge you need will be in the Textbook. However to help you become more familiar with the brain I recommend you download 3D Brain, by Cold Spring Harbor, a free App from Apple AppStore. This can also be viewd on a PC at 'Genes to Cognition' website.
An excellent book is 'The Brain Book' by Rita Carter. You can get it here from Amazon HERE
Support & Networking
Articles and forms are available for download on the student pages on this website. There is also a closed Facebook Group where we can share experiences and articles of interests.
Attendance Certificates for CPD points will be issued for the Practical Training Days. The Final Limbic Reflexology Certificate will be awarded on successful completion of Case Studies.
